Less Than Two Weeks Left!

Time has been flying! Especially now that July 14th is coming up. Family is coming up this weekend for my cousin Josh’s wedding, so I am really excited to get to hang out with my mom, sister & pep pep.

There is a cool group in from Mizzou this week, later they are taking me out to see the Empire State Building, which is very nice of them because they are buying me a ticket to go up to the top. However, I have to admit I like the high school groups more. They are more excited about doing things in groups, college kids kinda like to do their own thing and be independent all the time.

I guess I sort of got a promotion too, I am now the director of outreach for the rest of the time that I’m here because the old director is not going to be working for the Bowery anymore. I can’t wait to get back and see everyone, I’m even starting to miss Dan Smith.

Bye for now, talk to me on FBook

P.S. here is a great song that is brand spanking new
Supernova – Mr. Hudson feat. Kanye West

I Did A Long Post With A Lot Of Pictures… Here

For Michael

Dear King Of Pop,

As longs as music exists, your art, and your influence will never be forgotten for a moment. My prayers go out to your kids and family. I don’t know how many hours I spent listening to you, watching you dance, and trying to impress girls moonwalking. All the music I listen to, released even today, is in no way lacking roots in your art. RIP MJ

Okay Okay! So Much Has Happened

The trip to Florida was great! Paul and Mandy Yoder and some great people and they blessed us soooo much. We ate great all week long and got to relax a ton. But I now know I would never ever live in Florida, TOO HOT!!!!!!!

The best part of the trip was when Wilmon (the other driver here at the Bowery) got to branch off from the path to see his family members that he hasn’t seen in over a year. They did not even know if he was alive or not. Here is a quick version of his story:

One year ago, on June 6th, the police showed up to raid Wilmon’s house. Him and his buddy had enough drugs in there to put them in jail for 10-15 years. Turns out the search warrant the police tried to use had a typo, the address was one number off. So he fled to New York City with a buddy and after a falling out with aforementioned buddy, he ended up at the Bowery. One year later, Wilmon is a man of God. He loves to say that he used to drive for the devil (drug trafficking), now he drives for Jesus. Some pictures of him and his family are below.

Now I’m back at the Bowery, and I only have 20 days left until I come back to Colorado. Time has flown and its been incredible. Sad news here at the Bowery, Abraham (pictured in an earlier post) had to be put down because of a birth defect in his brain that was making him sick.

One quick person I would love you guys to pray for is Jason. He is semi new at the Bowery and has never really understood what it means to be a follower of Christ. But wow is the Lord drawing him in. I have rarely seen someone so curious about Jesus and the Word. Pray that he can be patient and understand that it takes time to gain wisdom about the Lord. Pray that the Lord continues to draw him in, and pray that he can have the strength to stick with it. He actually just came to the door, thats kind scary.

In Florida Now

Okay after 20 straight hours of driving we are now in Sarasota Florida having a wonderful time relaxing. We are staying with a family who owns an auto dealership and they have some of the sickest cars I have ever seen. They have a brand new Camaro just like the one in Transformers and, my personal favorite, an M6 BMW that is scarlet red with matching rims. We get to drive around the piece of junk Escalade all week 🙂 I’m jk it’s super duper smooth and an incredible car.

For now we are just chillin and relaxin. Got some wonderful food at a seafood restaurant and one of the staff members I am on vacation with is a 5 star cook and is going to prepare a great meal for us tomorrow night. Anyway I’m here until Tuesday, hope everyone is doing great back at home. I miss you all.

Going to Florida for a week!

Okay so some staff members here are going on vacation down in Florida where a well to do family puts them up for a week once a year. Well guess what? They need a driver so they invited me to come along on their vacation, all I have to do is make the 19 hour drive 🙂

In other news, New York shopping is the best. I got two new suits, a black one with pins and a grey one. All is well and I now have less than a month left here. Time is flying!

Internet has been out for awhile

Okay okay. So having a good time, making some good friends with the guys here and the volunteers.

I have some people who I would love to ask you guys to pray for

Billy Cruz – He was a student at the mission but her decided to leave for his own reasons. Pray that he will be able to stay the man who seeks wisdom that he is and that he doesn’t fall back into his old habits and start relying on drugs for his salvation.

Bryan – Bryan is from Boulder and often shows up to get food. He is living at a three quarter house right now and is looking to start going to school. Pray that he stays focused on achieving his education and seeks God.

Those are some of the guys that really really need it. So it would be great if you could pray for those guys.
